The president of McDonald's in Russia and Central Europe, Khamzat Khasbulatov, said that this year the company intends to invest 6 billion rubles in Russia, which is the same as in 2014.
"This year our costs in terms of investments remain at the level of last year, we have implemented more than 6 billion, we will spend most of the sum on new discoveries, but also on modernization of the old ones," he stressed.
According to Khasbulatov, money for projects of opening new fast-food restaurants and modernization of existing ones are distributed in the ratio of 50/50 or 60/40. Khasbulatov said the company has "no pessimism" about the state of the economy at the moment, there are "no plans or desire to reduce the volume."
The head of McDonald's in Russia reported that inspections were conducted last year and the closure of several restaurants of the chain "hindered the production process" and "has taken out the work of the enterprise in the normal process."
"The closure of the largest restaurant effected our business, the effect was sensitive," he concluded.
