Inflation in Azerbaijan will not exceed 1%, says S&P

The agency Standard & Poor's has updated its own forecasts of the economic indicators of Azerbaijan.

 

Thus, according to the calculations of the agency in 2015, the consumer price index (CPI) will not exceed 1% against 1.4% a year earlier. Then it will start to increase to 2% in 2016, 2.5% in 2017 and 3% in 2018, abc.az leads the message.

 

In parallel, the nominal GDP will decline in 2015 to $64 billion from $74 billion a year earlier. In 2016, nominal GDP is only $71 billion, without coming to the level of 2014. Its recovery is expected only in 2017 ($80 billion.), And in 2018 the nominal GDP will reach $85 billion.

 

In this regard, this year GDP per capita is from $7826 to $6741 with the prospect of growth in 2016 to $7374. Its recovery is expected only in 2017 ($8151) with a view to increase in 2018 to $8595.
