Today the price of the US dollar rise over 70 rubles on the Moscow stock exchange, reaching 70.04 rubles at 10:50 MSK.
The last time the US currency passed this barrier was on January 30, due to reports that the Russian Central Bank had dropped its key interest rate from 17% to 15%, but the dollar fell to 69 rubles again the same day.
The euro has also risen: at 10:45 MSK the exchange rate of the euro currency had grown by 1.06 rubles to 79.03 rubles.
The price of Brent crude is also falling: at 10:45 MSK it fell by 1.85% to $52 per barrel at auction on London's ICE, Tass reports.
