Armenia to import fish from Turkey.
Armenia will start importing mullet from Turkey. According to one
Turkish businessman, it could become the first step towards the
opening of the border between the two countries. The closed border
affects prices, as exporters are forced to pay customs duties twice.
Wang Ayhan Fidan, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Turkey,
announced that Turkey will also supply Armenia with oranges, news.am
reports, referring to the Turkish newspaper “Hurriyet”. The terms and
the conditions of the fish and fruit imports were established half a
year ago.
