Georgia to provide port for Azerbaijani gas deliveries to Europe.
Georgian territory will be used for transportation of Azerbaijani gas
to Bulgaria, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov announced after
his meeting with Nika Gilauri, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Trend
reports.
Borisov said, that about two billion cubic meters of gas will be
delivered to the Georgian port of Poti, from where the compressed gas
will be sent to Bulgaria.
According to Alexander Khetaguri, the Georgian Minister of Energy, the
accession of Bulgaria to the draft of the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania
Interconnector (AGRI) contract on supplies of Azerbaijani liquefied
gas to Europe is possible in the future. On the 14th of September
Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary signed a Declaration on the
draft of AGRI in Baku.
