Turkey facilitates trade regime with Azerbaijan

Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci today met with the Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev, during which the Turkish Minister noted that "Turkey is the only country in the world that has a customs union with the European Union."

"Currently, 40% of Turkey's foreign trade is accounted for by EU countries. However, we haven't simplify the regime of imports and exports of agricultural products. If we will take a step in this direction, the first we'll do it with is Azerbaijan," APA cited Zeybekci, quoting Stargundem.com website.

Zeybekci plans to meet with Azerbaijani first deputy prime minister Abid Sharifov today.
