Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian agricultural surveillance) has permitted imports of fish from Iran. A seminar on training of specialists for the fishing industry according to standards of Russia and the Customs Union was held in Iran, resulting in approval of Iranian fish exports, RIA Novosti reports.Rosselkhoznadzor Chief Sergey Dankvert noted at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Sanai that Iran was collecting vegetables that could be sold on the Russian market. Sanai asked Dankvert for permission to start exports of dairy products to Russia before inspections. Dankvert said that the request would be discussed after telephone conversations with the Iranian veterinary service.Sanai expressed interest in selling grain to Russia.
