Trade turnover between Iran and Belarus increases

Trade turnover between Iran and Belarus has increased, Trend reports,
citing the Rana agency.


The Ambassador of Belarus to Iran Victor Rybak said that they hope to
increase trade turnover to over $100 million in 2010.


The two countries are capable of realizing joint projects worth $2 billion.
The trade turnover between Belarus and Iran in 2009 reached $71.6
million, including Belarus' exports - $63.2 million and import - $8.4
million.


In the first quarter of 2010, compared with the same period in 2009,
trade turnover rose 2.5 times, Belarus' exports rose 4.3 times.


The main Belarusian export goods to Iran are synthetic fibres and
synthetic thread harnesses, metal products, cargo vehicles, tractors,
and potassium fertilizer.
