Iran has completed construction of a 611 km section of a gas pipeline
to connect the Turkish gas transport system with Europe, Trend
reports, citing the news agency Mehr.
In August 2010, the Iranian national gas company NIGEC and Turkish
company Som Petrol signed an agreement worth approximately 1 billion
euros to continue construction of the sixth Iranian gas pipeline
Dehgolan-Bazargan to export gas to Europe. The Turkish company's
investment makes up 77% of the project (754 million euro).
The sixth Iranian gas pipeline will be approximately 1,300 km long.
