The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, explained today why the amounts of the sum loaned by countries by the IMF, stated by the head of the Fund, Christine Lagarde ($40 billion), and the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers ($25 billion), are so different.
"The additional funds amounting to $15 billion declared by the head of the IMF are not cash, but an additional amount of the funds that may arise as a result of the proper management of the public debt of Ukraine. This is what we will continue to engage in," Tass quoted him as saying.
However, he did not specify what is meant by "proper management of the public debt of Ukraine."
