Grigory Karasin, Russian secretary of state, deputy foreign minister, said at a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for Russia Zurab Abashidze in Prague that Russia had been one of the top three trade partners of Georgia in 2014, TASS reports.
Karasin noted that contacts in business, humanitarian sector, culture, sports, science and religion had been developing the previous year. The progress is a result of lift of trade restrictions, restoration of ground and air connection.
The sides exchanged opinions about realization of the bilateral agreement on customs administrating and trade monitoring, signed in 2011.
