President of the Sochi 2014 organizing Committee Dmitry Chernyshenko said today that over 9.6 billion rubles of operational income were earned by the Committee. Over 3.25 billion rubles of the sum were in cash, over 1 billion rubles were gained from disbanding the Committee, R-Sport reports.
5.4 billion rubles is value of the property the Organizing Committee received from state and public organizations for healthcare, development of physical fitness and sports, including donations from organizations of the marketing program of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games for communication services, air transport, uniforms for athletes and other services in 2015-2016.
Mark Adams, the director for communications of the International Olympic committee, confirmed the operational profit of about 3.25 billion rubles from the Winter Olympic games in Sochi.
