Russia ready to supply gas to Luhansk, Donetsk directlyRussia will supply natural gas directly to the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics only if Ukraine’s oil and gas monopoly, Naftogaz Ukrainy, files a notification on refusal to deliver gas there, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday, Itar Tass reports.Novak said deliveries of Russian gas to Donbas were independent from the exports to Naftogaz.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said he expect to receive the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund before the end of March.
"The President expressed confidence that the IMF will take a positive decision on the extension of financial aid of Ukraine. Ukraine expects to receive the first tranche until the end of March," RIA Novosti quotes the president's press service.
