The Czech Republic is interested in long-term gas supplies from Azerbaijan, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mladek said today during an Azerbaijani-Czech business forum in Baku.
According to him, Azerbaijan accounted for around one third of the Czech Republic’s oil imports in 2014.
The Minister noted that the Czech Republic is interested in long-term gas supplies from Azerbaijan, and in this regard, the project for construction of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline is very important.
Mladek said that currently, TANAP is the most realistic project in this sphere, Trend reports.
