The output of Azerbaijani oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline grew by 2.5% in the period January-September 2010 compared to 27.964 million tons last year, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan's (SOCAR) official press-service reports.
The pipeline was opened operation on the 1st of October 2006 and 134.501 million tons of crude oil have since been exported from Azerbaijan's Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field through it. The pipeline's output is 1.2 million bpd. Gas condensate is also delivered via the pipeline from the Shakh Deniz gas field.
Shares in the pipeline belong to British Petroleum (30.1% ), SOCAR (25%), Chevron (8.9%), Statoil (8.71%), TPAO (6.53%), ENI and Total (5%), Itochu (3.4%), ConocoPhilliрs and Inрex (2.5%), Amerada Hess (2.36%).
