Japan to buy buses for Georgia

 

Georgian Minister for Finances Nodar Khaduri and Japanese Ambassador Toshio Kaitani have signed an agreement, according to which Japan will give Georgia a grant worth $4.2 million to buy the last-generation buses for the Tbilisi Municipality, News Georgia reports.The hybrid buses will operate in the central part of Tilisi. The funds will also be spent on purchase of two electric cars for the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.In the last 17 years, Japan has granted Georgia about $35 million for development of agriculture, healthcare, ecology and municipalities.
