The Armenian authorities have reached an agreement with Russia’s Gazprom on reducing the price of gas supplied to Armenia to 165 dollars from 189 dollars, Zhamanak newspaper reports, citing a source close to the government.
"This will enable us not to increase the price of gas supplied to the population, which was expected due to the depreciation of the Armenian dram," the newspaper says, adding that the issue of increasing electricity prices is again at the forefront due to the serious financial problems of Electric Networks of Armenia.
