The Italian company Mediterranean Development is ready to invest 60 million euros in the construction of a waste recycling plant in Dagestan. This was announced by representatives during a visit to the region.
Mediterranean Development proposes building a full-cycle plant on the territory of the republic, designed to service a population of 100 thousand, bringing all the necessary infrastructure to it, according to the portal YUGA.
"We are ready to invest our own money in this project with the condition that the allocation of land for construction is granted, it is possible even at an existing landfill, and an uninterrupted supply of raw materials to the plant. The resulting activity of the plant product in the form of heat and electricity will also be implemented by us," company engineer Domenico Strafase is quoted by the Dagestan Information Agency.
