The Georgian government is working on certain benefits for local air carriers, particularly regarding subsidizing charter flights, Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
The director general of the airline Ayrzena, Iase Zautashvili, noted that this is a very interesting initiative, and it can only be welcomed.
"It's very important, especially because charters constitute a large part of our ongoing flights. In addition, the benefits are very important in the areas that have tourism prospects, including foreign resorts where the citizens of Georgia are travelling to," Georgia Online quoted him as saying.
