Turkey will not join the China-led Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the Haber7 news channel cited the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, Numan Kurtulmus, during a visit to Japan.
Today France, Germany and Italy have decided to follow the UK’s suit and join the China-led Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank. "Ankara currently doesn’t intend to become a co-founder of the AIIB," Trend cited Kurtulmus.
The AIIB is considered a potential challenger to the World Bank (WB), which is headquartered in Washington, US.
