Caspian Sea to be cleared of sunken ships for 4.5 billion tenge

 

The Caspian Sea and its coastal zone has over 60 sunken and abandoned ships and metal constructions weighing over 54,000 tons. The Kazakhstani Ministry for Investments and Development plans to clear the sea of the said objects for 4.5 billion tenge, the Liter paper reports.It is noteworthy that 60% of the ships contain petroleum products, waste and garbage.
