Modernization of Crimean mail offices costs 450 million rubles

450 million rubles were spent on modernization of the mail service in Crimea, as stated by Russian Minister for Communications Nikolai Nikiforov. About 170 new vehicles were sent to Crimea to replace old mail cars, TASS reports.


Further investments in the mail service of the peninsula will raise salaries of its staff.


Head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov said that improvement of communications and Internet access had been discussed with the Russian Ministry for Communications. Two new cellphone operators will soon start offering services in Crimea, according to Nikiforov.
