Iran increases energy production

Iran has increased energy production in the first half of 2010 by approximately 9%, or 143,790 gigawatts/h, Trend reports, citing Ilna.


137 200 gigawatts were produced by thermal power plants, 6 769 gigawatts/h were produced by hydro electric plants.


In the same period last year they produced 133 593 gigawatts/h.


Today Iranian hydro electric plants are producing approximately 7 700 megawatts. The country has 44 hydro electric plants, including 109 energy blocks.
