Yerevan's Zvartnots airport transported approximately 1.22 million passengers and 6267 tons of cargo in January-September this year, News Armenia reports, citing the website of the main civil aviation department of Armenia.
Approximately 575,800 people arrived in Armenia, 641,700 departed, 3,778 tons of cargo were imported, 2,489 tons were exported.
In the same period last year 1.1 million passengers and 6,375 tons of cargo were transported.
The Armenia-International Airport company uses Zvartnots according to a concessional agreement with a 30-year term signed in 2001.
The company is owned by an Argentine company, American International Airports, which belongs to a citizen of Argentine of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian.
