In Dagestan, in the framework of the program "Clean Water," three sewage treatment plants will start operating at the end of this month. This is reported by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing Services of the Republic.
In addition, representatives of the Office clarify that, in accordance with this program, 11 water supply facilities are currently under construction: eight water treatment plants with a total capacity of 14.7 thousand cubic meters per day and three sewage treatment plants with a total capacity of 6.2 thousand cubic meters day.
"Water treatment facilities in five districts and sewage treatment facilities in the Kizlyar district are already completed," RIA "Dagestan" quotes the Ministry's representative.
The ministry adds that about 35% of Dagestan's water supply networks require replacement, but no more than 1.9% of new networks is built every year.
"In the framework of this program, the priority is given to the activities in settlements with a population of 100 thousand people and poor conditions of the surface sources of drinking water," the source reports.
