Norwegian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ole Johan Bjørnøy has held a meeting at the Turkmen Foreign Ministry. The sides expressed interest in further cooperation in modern technologies of extracting gas in offshore and hard-to-reach areas, Trend reports.
The Norwegian and Turkmen diplomats discussed mutual interests in the political, trade-economic, energy, transportation and investment sectors, activation of political contacts, expansion of the bilateral legal basis, and realization of joint projects.
It was emphasized that implementation of the resolution on Reliable and Stable Transit of Energy Resources and Its Role in Ensuring Sustainable Development and International Cooperation composed by Turkmenistan and Norway was passed at the 82nd plenary session of the UN General Assembly on May 17, 2013.
