President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered the head of Iran Hassan Rouhani to reduce gas prices, because demand for natural gas is growing in the country and the network of domestic gas pipelines is expanding.
During the talks, Erdogan said that Turkey purchases almost 90% of Iran's natural gas, but that Iran's price is the highest compared to other suppliers, CA-NEWS reports.
"We want to offer our citizens better prices," he said, stressing that if the prices are reduced, Turkey will buy larger amounts of natural gas from Iran.
