Georgia and Turkey have signed an agreement in Istanbul on the joint management of customs posts. The document was signed by Georgian Finance Minister Kakha Baindurashvili and Turkish Minister of State Giyat Iyaziji, Business Georgia reports.
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier discussed joint customs management.
In May. this year the president awarded Turkish premier during his visit to Georgia the Order of the Golden Fleece. The sides recalled the promise of Erdogan to unite the customs services and allow easy border crossing.
