Before the trade and industrial exhibition "Iran 2010" opens tomorrow, the deputy governor of the Astrakhan region met with a delegation from the northern provinces of Iran. Various issues, such as the establishment of a joint-owned vegetable-processing factory and air services between the two regions were discussed.
Iran has been one of the main trade partners of the Astrakhan region in recent times.
At the moment the Iranian share of Astrakhan's external trade is 25%.
