Iran's Mazandaran province awaits Azerbaijani investments

Iran is ready to create all the necessary conditions for Azerbaijani investors of the private sector for investing in Mazandaran province’s economy, the head of the presidium of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Abdullah Muhajir, said.


"In the last year products worth $3.65 million, particularly livestock products, were exported from Azerbaijan to Mazandaran province, while $33 million worth of products were exported from the province to Azerbaijan in 2014, mainly cement, fish products, flowers, plants and citrus fruits," Muhajir said.Despite the fact that Iran and Azerbaijan are neighbors, the trade relations between them are not satisfactory, he said, stressing that Mazandaran is the most fertile and picturesque region of Iran."There are conditions for cooperation in various spheres, including in tourism, agriculture, fishery, shipping and other fields," Muhajir said, noting that the media plays an exceptional role in the development of relations and called on journalists to contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.The head of the Bureau expressed hope that the mutual visits of journalists, businessmen and representatives of other fields will continue in the future, since both peoples are associated by ancient historical ties.The presidium head expressed hope that reciprocal visits by journalists, businessmen and representatives of other spheres will continue, since the people of Azerbaijan and Iran are bound by ancient historical ties.
