The Baku Metro has received two modern car sets from Russia's Metrovagonmash, as stated by Nasimi Pashayev, spokesman of the Metro, abc.az reports.
Unlike the old cars, the new ones boast higher quality and safety, they have air coolers and heaters. They will be put into commission within the next 10 days, serving from the stations of Azi Aslanov to Icheri Sheher.
The new cars are currently at a carhouse where Metrovagonmash specialists are training staff to man the new train sets. The Baku Metro has purchased only three car sets. The Metro will gradually replace all old cars.
