Armenia joining the Eurasian Economic Union was dictated by state interests, the vice-speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia Edward Sharmazanov said after a plenary session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg.
"Time has shown that the decision of the President of Armenia was justified, and it is no coincidence that the vast majority of the parliamentary forces of Armenia voted in favor of joining the EAEU," the parliamentary press office quoted him as saying.
