Amsterdam Trade Bank has granted Azerbaijan 13.7 million euros for the realization of a broadband Internet development project. Contracts for purchase of telecommunication equipment have already been signed, part of the machinery has been shipped, Trend reports.
The project stipulates modernization of telecommunications in Sumqayit, Ganja, the districts of Absheron, Zaqatala, Shamkir, Khachmaz, Agdam, Barda and Tartar. The number of broadband Internet ports in 47 cities and districts will rise to 98,000.
