The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (AMEA) has discussed its general report, including the report of the Earth Science Department today.
According to the AMEA, last year the Department completed the research program on the hydrocarbon potential and geodynamics of the Azerbaijani section of the South-Caspian depression conducted in 2007-2014, abc.az reports.
“As a result of the complex fundamental research on the territory of the South-Caspian depression, sources of hydrocarbon resources were found, projections on their development were made and a geodynamic model was worked out. These results will play a significant role in the continuous development of Azerbaijan’s economy,” the message reads.
