Ankara, Ashgabat, Baku and Brussels have discussed their cooperation in the gas sector.
A quadripartite meeting was held in Ashgabat today with representatives of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and the European Union. According to the Twitter page of the Deputy Chairman of the European Commission's energy union, Maros Shefchovich, the agenda was discussion of cooperation in the gas sector.
"The meeting held in Ashgabat will provide an incentive for future cooperation," APA cites him as saying.
The main topic of the negotiations was Turkmenistan joining the TANAP project. According to Shefchovicha, the representatives of the republic declared their intention to take part in the project of the 'Southern Gas Corridor'.
