Kilometer-long wall to protect road and crossing post in Georgia from Terek River floods

A kilometer-long wall will be built to protect the Georgian Military Road and the Verkhny Lars/Kazbegi Crossing Post from flooding of the Terek River. A river bank defense costing $1.1 million has almost been completed, News-Georgia reports.


The embankment will open this summer. It is being constructed by the state construction company of the Georgian Ministry for Regional Development.
