Chavez to negotiate boosting oil and gas ties with Iran

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has arrived in Tehran for negotiations with Iranian leaders on boosting bilateral cooperation in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
 
Iranian state television says Chavez was greeted by Industry Minister, Ali Akbar Mehrabian, at Tehran's Mehrabad airport upon arrival early Tuesday morning.
 
State TV says Chavez will hold talks with his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, during his two-day visit.
