The main tunnel of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad between Georgia and Turkey has been opened.
According to Azerbaijani Deputy Transport Minister, Musa Panahov, the works on construction of the tunnel were the main obstacle for implementation of the project.
"The works on railroad bed construction are being performed there. The railroad, which will contribute to the development of both domestic and international transit and trade will be put into operation already this year," abc.az cited Panakhov as saying.
