The contractor of a project of construction of a wagon factory in Baku based on Stadler’s technology has been published.
Stadler’s sales & marketing director for the Caucasus, Russia & Ukraine, Matthias Stör, said that a tender procedure for the contractor has been finished.
"Currently, work is underway on designing the plant, whose foundation was laid last year. After the completion of the design, there will be a final evaluation of the project. The construction of the plant will be fulfilled by UK construction company MACE, already operating in Azerbaijan, which is ready to finish it in the next year," abc.az cited Stör as saying.
Tomorrow Stadler and Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) will sign a contract for delivery of five double-decker trains for the railway line Baku-Sumgait.
"The project cost will be defined tomorrow, as the contract will include the delivery of model equipment," Stör said.
