EBRD chief calls policy of Georgian National Bank exemplary

Sir Suma Chakrabarti, the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has characterized the monetary policy of the Georgian National Bank as exemplary at a meeting with the Georgian bank's president, Georgia Online reports.

The EBRD head called the floating currency rate a wise policy and noted the importance of keeping a currency reserve.

Sir Chakrabarti congratulated the Georgian chief banker on being the best Central Bank president of 2014.
