Tourism sector became most dynamic sector of Azerbaijani economy

The tourism sector has become the most dynamic sector of the Azerbaijani economy.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the hospitality and food sector became the most dynamic sector of Azerbaijan in January-April of 2015.

For a third of the year it produced added value worth 462.9 million manats. In comparison to the sectoral GDP (398.7 million manat) in January-April of 2014, this index is 13.5% higher, abc.az reports. 

By the 1st of May, the hospitality and food sectors outstripped the economic importance of the telecommunications sector, where GDP amounted to only 338.9 million manats.
