The company SOCAR Petroleum Georgia has temporarily postponed implementation of the project of construction of a carbamide plant in Georgia, but has not rejected it, as some media have reported, the head of company Mair Mammadov said.
He explained that the decision was made because the company cannot build the plant until the completion of the Shakhdeniz gas production project.
"The economic situation in Azerbaijan is that we had some problems with this project. Therefore, the construction of the plant has been delayed, but we will definitely return to this project. It was our decision and the government of Georgia agreed with us. So the project is postponed, but not closed,’’ Georgia Online quotes Mamedov.
