The CIS Finance and Banking Council and the International Bank of Azerbaijan, supported by the CIS Executive Committee, will open the third international conference of the CIS „Financial institutions — the basis of structural modernization of economies of CIS countries - in Baku, RIA Novosti reports.
The conference will be opened on October 21-22. It will be participated in by state officials of the CIS countries, international development institutions, heads of central and largest CIS banks.
The sides will discuss modernization of financial infrastructure of CIS countries, experience of the development institutions for financing structural modernization of economy and the role of inter-state bank unities in organizing modernization financing.
Azerbaijani Premier Artur Rasi-Zade, Chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Jakhangir Gadzhiyev, Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Yevgeniy Novozhilov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijani National Bank Elman Rustamov, Chairman of Kazakh National Bank Grigoriy Marchenko, deputy head of the council of ministers of Crimea Yekaterina Yurchenko, deputy head of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs Igor Morozov, Secretary-General of the Bank Association of Central Europe and East Europe Ishtvan Lendyela will make speeches.
At the first plenary session the sides will discuss international and regional funds and their role in financing the programs of structural modernization, financial infrastructure of CIS countries. Vice-President Andrey Golikov, head of the department of economic cooperation with CIS countries of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Andrey Tochin, former head of Russian Centrobank Victor Gerashenko, the head of analytical department of the Eurasian Bank of Development Vladimir Yasinskiy, head of Kazakh agency for regulation of the regional finance center of Alma-Ata Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the CIS Economic Court Fayzullo Abdulloyev, Chairman of the coordination council of the finance and banking council of the CIS Anatoliy Kazakov will make reports.
The second session will discuss financial basis of structural modernization, commercial banks and other participants of the national finances markets of the CIS. President of the agricultural holding Avangard and president of „Finance Initiative“ (Ukraine) Oleg Bakhmatuk Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Sergey Pisarik, president of the Inter-State Bank Igor Suvorov, Deputy Chairman of Agroinvestbank (Tajikistan) Ibodullo Saidmuradov, Vice-President of MMVB Yevgeniy Ellinskiy were invited.
On the second day the conference will have a round table for issues of the Caspian region. The round table will be hosted by the Director-General of the CIS Finance and Banking Council Pavel Nefidov and the Director-General of the International Center for Development of Regions Igor Melamed.
They will discuss regional economic unities in CIS countries as an instrument for invitation of investments for trans-border investment projects, infrastructue in the Caspian region, economic cooperation, usage of Caspian resources.
