Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the first national passenger jet will make its first flight in 2019. It will have seats for 70 people and make use of advanced technologies, RIA Novosti reports.
Davut Yilmaz, the general manager of STM (the developer of the jet), said that the project was worth $1.5 billion. In his words, the company is also working on a 32-seat jet for military purposes and emergency situations. The jet will make the first test flight in 2017, its serial production will start in 2019. A total of 48 such jets will be produced.
