According to a Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Kozak, the new tourist season in Sochi promises to be wonderful. The flow of tourists in comparison to last year is to increase by 500 thousand to 6 million tourists.
"The forecast for the season is great: 97% of hotel stock in the city is booked for the summer period. This year half a million more tourists are expected than last year. Today we expect 6 million,’’ RIA Novosti cites him as saying.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that these results were achieved thanks to the excellent infrastructure and image of Sochi which he received after the Olympics. The development of domestic tourism in Russia also played an important role.
