Chinese delegation studies investment opportunities in Hormuzgan

A Chinese economic delegation from China’s Guangdong province has arrived in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas.


A deputy governor general, Babak Trakemeh, said that 90% of Iran's portal trade is carried out through Bandar Abbas and the largest shipbuilding company is working in the province. He also said that two free trade zones and one special economic region as well as the possibility of using the rail, naval, aerial and networks are among the advantages of the province, Iran.ru reports.The head of the Chinese delegation, in his turn, said that the aim of the visit is to consider opportunities for joint investments, adding that the negotiations with the state directors and public sector in naval and land transportation, and visits to Shahid Rajaei Port and the rail transportation network are on the schedule of the two-day visit. The Vice-Governor of Guangdong province expressed hope that at the end of visit, a Memorandum of Understanding in different fields of cooperation could be signed between the Chinese delegation and Hormuzgan provincial officials.
