Agreement on preservation of Caspian Sea presented to State Duma

The Russian government has introduced a draft law "On ratification of the Agreement on preservation and rational use of water biological resources of the Caspian Sea" to the State Duma.


The agreement was signed in September 2014 in Astrakhan between the governments of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.It calls to preserve and promote the rational use and management of the water biological resources of the Caspian Sea. The parties to the agreement will form a joint commission.
