The French company Total is preparing to develop the Absheron field in Azerbaijan. The development & JVs director of TOTAL Exploration & Production Absheron, Eric Meyer, said at the Caspian Oil & Gas Conference that development program will be presented in September.
"Work is underway on the choice of a scheme for the development program. Primary work on the scheme has been finished, and the total package of the program will be presented by September 2015," abc.az cited Meyer as saying.
"It is planned to make investment decisions by the end of 2017, and the first gas from the Absheron field will be received in 2021," Eric Meyer added.
