Armenian authorities to repay their debts with energy system's money

While the Armenian authorities are complaining about debts, it turns out that the elite institutions of Armenia have been funded by the country’s energy system, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.

“In particular, the Reception House’s renovation, the furniture acquisition and operation costs were financed from the amount received from the activities of the company Vorotan Cascade. More than 1.5 billion drams were borrowed from Vorotan, News.am reports.

“Now, the government has decided to pay off this debt with the money to be received from the cascade's sale. The government plans to pay off the more than 17 billion dram (35 million dollar) debt with this money. This matter is put on the agenda of the government’s session,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
