Approximately 30 more countries will have nuclear power plants in
2030, the head of the IAEA, Yukiya Amano, said at the energy week
forum in Moscow. He said that the global climate problems influence
global attitudes towards nuclear energy, RIA Novosti reports.
Amano said that the benefits of nuclear energy are making it more
popular. He said that IAEA is making all the necessary effort for the
secure development of peaceful nuclear energy. One of the main goals
is the development of reactors with fast neutrons, improvement of
control over nuclear materials and technology.
The head of IAEA signed an agreement with Rosatom on cooperation in
training staff.
